BROTHERS AND SISTERS

Are you suffering from the late summer blahs? No more Allman Brothers
Band concerts after September 8th. What's a loyal peachhead to do? Well,
you can get in your car, catch a plane or train and get "Southbound" for a
weekend in Macon that will be filled with great music, wonderful food and
hundreds of other maniac Allman Brothers Band fans. The place is Macon,
Georgia. The time is September 12, 14 & 15. The event is the fifth annual
Georgia Allman brothers Band Association, Allman Brothers & Sisters Family
Reunion and Revival. And you are invited.

This year we have another fantastic schedule of GABBA events. In
addition to all the organized events outlined on the GABBA registration form
enclosed, Macon is hosting it's annual Southern Jubilee Street Party with
live music on three stages and a disco stage in the streets of downtown
Macon. Elizabeth Reed Music Hall will present a concert by Devon Allman and
his band, the American Blues Revival. Devon will be appearing at the House
fo Blues in New Orleans on Thursday September 12 and heading up to Macon on
the 13th to participate in this historic weekend. Devon was with us last
year and we were all impressed with he and his band. Devon will be opening
for the great Derek Trucks who is emerging as a true musical genius. He has
followed int he footsteps of Duane Allman with his new John Coltrane and
Miles Davis influenced sound. Any of you who have not heard him lately will
be astounded by the maturity of his repertoire.

On Saturday, September 14th, the Street Party begins at 6:00pm.
Confirmed acts for the rock stage include Gov't Mule, The Screaming Cheetah
Wheelies, Cherokee Sex Workshop, Devon Allman and Berry Oakley, Jr. and the
Oakley/Krieger Band. The country stage has booked the Bellamy Brothers as
the headliner and the Urban stage has booked Morris Day & the Times as the
Headlining act. Other acts will be added to all three live music stages.

The Mule will be playing at around 8:00 followed by the Screaming Cheetah
Wheelies. The Wheelie boys are a favorite among Allman Brothers Band fans
and a band featured in Hittin' The Note. They will rock the stage with their
twin guitars and ABB influenced original songs. They have recently released
their 2nd recording called Magnolia and it is great. The rock stage will be
set up right outside the front door to Elizabeth Reed Music Hall. the Street
Party ends at 11:00pm and then the fun begins inside

Starting at 11:00, Elizabeth Reed Music Hall presents the Oakley/Krieger
Band featuring Berry Oakley, Jr and Waylon Krieger. Berry and Waylon were
with us at the GABBAFEST last year as a part of Bloodline and they really put
on a great show. They have a new band this year and they will be coming all
the way from California just for this special weekend. They are opening for
Gov't Mule. Warren Haynes, Allen Woody and Matt Abts are Gov't Mule. They
are playing a short set at the street party and will play a full show at Liz
Reed's. The Mule has a new LIVE recording which should be out by
Mid-September. They knocked us all out last year with their incendiary
playing and we are privileged to have them cap off the weekend's remarkable
musical agenda.

GABBA and Alan Frank have done their best to make this as carefree as
possible. With your GABBA registration you will be given a laminate that
will get you into all of the Saturday events. Yes, that's right, you will
get into the street party and Elizabeth Reed Music Hall for free with your
GABBA laminate. Friday nights show has a modest cover charge of $5.00.

Other highlights of the weekend will be the Collectors Revival on
Saturday at the Crowne Plaza with the ABB Memorabilia, Official Merchandise,
Concert footage, a rare T-shirt exhibit and photograph exhibit. On Saturday
there will be a shuttle bus between all local ABB points of interest between
3:00 and 6:00. The Big House will be open on Friday from 12:00 to 6:00,
10:00 to 6:00 on Saturday and 12:00 to 6:00 on Sunday for viewing the ABB
archives and the Big House Museum.

Every year more and more fans attend this truly remarkable weekend.
Each of them has returned home with great memories and lots of new friends.
What began six years ago as an informal gathering at Duane and Berry's
graves has evolved into a musical event for hundreds of people. As the music
of the Allman brothers Band continues to cross generational lines the people
gathering for the GABBAfest have become more diverse and younger. This year,
we expect a record number of people from all over the country. If you have
come in the past you already know that this is a great time for everyone so
please come back and join us again this year. Please come back and share
your passion for the Allman Brothers Band. If you have never attended this
event, this is the year to come, to come to Macon, Georgia, to come Back
Where It All Begins.
