Locks of Love

As you all know GABBA is always trying to give back to the community.

We love to help children the most.  Once again, we are going to try and help some kids with alopecia areata.  This is a medical condition that causes all their hair to fall out.  It is not known why this happens and there is no cure.

I’m sure all of you can imagine what the kids go through on a daily basis with no hair.  So here’s what we are going to do at GABBAFest 2004.  Some of us are going to donate our hair so that prosthesis can be made for these children.  This is custom designed wig, which will help return their confidence and self-esteem.  We have several members that have already pledged to cut their hair.  If you or anyone you know would be interested, please contact us.  I know there are lots of long-haired hippies out there.  For more information about this worthy cause check out www.locksoflove.org.
